A congregation without a prayer meeting is essentially defective in its organization, and so must be
limited in its efficiency.

From the Back Cover
You want to communicate with your Heavenly Father, but you feel there is
something mysterious and difficult about prayer.

Principles and Practice of Prayer, with your Bible near at hand, will guide you
through those principles, some simple and some profound, that make prayer
the vital exercise God intended it to be. You'll discover what prayer is, why
it's so important, and what a positive and exciting experience it can be. You'll
be challenged by the example of Christ's prayer life. And you'll be encouraged
by the realization that your prayers can be used by God to accomplish His
purposes.
We think that
Principles and Practice of Prayer
is the best little book there is to use to teach both the subject of prayer
and it's practice.
It is thorough and well organized making it easy for teacher and student
to work through.

There are two e-versions available below.
The
first is the text as it is in the book and
the
second version is the text in the left column of a two column table
(MSWord) with space in the right column for teacher or student notes. All
the scriptures referenced in the text are quoted in the NAS version of
Scripture.
Ivan French taught a course in prayer at Grace College and Theological
